Biography Faye Craig achieved success over a long period in events from club to world ranking. She won a gold medal in the pairs and a silver in fours in Pacific Games events in 1985.
She was runner-up in the Australian singles in 1974-75, represented NSW many times in interstate fixtures, won the NSW masters singles twice (1982-83) and States champion-of-champions in 1987 as well as being runner-up three times. Added to those achievements have been the NSW pairs, country singles and country pairs (twice). She also figured twice(1980-83) in State No. 1 pennant victories.
Among her other major tournament wins were the Tweed Heads International Golden Nugget in in 1986-91-93 and the Merrylands International mixed pairs in 1989-94.
As a long-serving member of the NJC women's club she won the Newcastle district singles eight times, pairs twice and triples and fours three times each.
She has shared in eight district pennant successes. Her club record is no less impressive, with victory in the club singles 15 times, pairs (eight), triples (seven) and fours (nine).
The Hunter region has produced many outstanding lawn bowlers over the years, and the achievements of Fay Craig ensure that she will be recalled as one of them. Born in Newcastle and schooled at Waratah Infants and Primary, and Cooks Hill Girls High, Fay was encouraged to bowl by her parents, who both played and enjoyed lawn bowls.

Masters Singles - twice - 1982, 1983 State Champion of Champions winner - 1987; runner - up three times Australian Honours - Australian Singles - Runner Up in 1974 , 1975 Pacific Games - Silver in Pairs, Silver in Fours, 1985 World Series - Gold in Pairs, Silver inFours, 1985 Fay has also won the Tweed Heads International Golden Nugget three times (in 1986, '91, and '93 ), and the Merrylands International Mixed Pairs twice (in1989 and '94 ), as well as being runner up twice.
